Originally from Northern California, I transplanted myself to San Diego over a decade ago. With dreams of warm and glassy waves, I chucked my boards in the rental van and loved every minute of it. San Diego has waves, warm weather, a relaxed, chill vibe, plenty of fishing and access to a great many outdoor activities. Although I miss the Bay Area, Southern California obviously has the biggest perk - weather. Great weather allows me to do my favorite things ALL YEAR ROUND.

And just like a country song, I've got a great wife, son and dog. I surf, fish, and occasionally mess with this macbook. I'm a professional firefighter, Licensed fishing guide (CA LIC #11248), part time programmer, and full time dreamer. I try to live my life words written by Mark Twain -

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

We love to travel. Whether its across the globe or on a local trail, we love spending time exploring new locations, sharing stories of past trips and taking pictures. Do you know of a great location to visit? A great hole in the wall restaurant? Let us know. We recently picked up one of those National Park Passports for Noah. Its just an excuse to visit some of the wonderful national parks and show Noah what a wonderful country we live in.

I've travelled the world trying to combine fishing and surfing with almost every trip. Believe me, if there is fish where we travel, I will find it.
